The rehabilitation of the airport was carried out under the leadership of the Bago administration, with its commissioning proudly performed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2024. The relaunch of commercial services today stands as a powerful testament to Governor Umar Bago’s vision for infrastructure development and President Tinubu’s strong backing of bold, subnational projects.
