    The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has officially released the screening guidelines for its 77th Regular Course, inviting qualified male and female Nigerians to apply for admission into the prestigious military institution. The application window is open from November 6, 2024, to April 30, 2025.

    Application Process

    Prospective candidates must apply online through the NDA application portal at [ndaapplications.net](https://www.ndaapplications.net). The application fee is ₦7,000, payable via REMITA using a Retrieval Reference (RRR) code generated on the portal. Additionally, applicants are required to register for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), selecting NDA as their first-choice institution.

    Screening Test Details

    The first phase of the screening process is the NDA Screening Test, scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2025. Eligible candidates must bring the following documents to their designated test centers:

    Admission Requirements

     

    To be eligible for admission into the NDA 77th Regular Course, candidates must:

    Be Nigerian citizens with a Certificate of Indigeneship from their state or local government.

    Be between 17 and 21 years old by August 2025.

    Have a minimum of five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings from WAEC, NECO, NBAIS, or NABTEB.

    Be medically and physically fit, single, and without legal obligations to support any dependents.

    Meet the minimum height requirement of 1.68 meters for males and 1.65 meters for females.

    Possess a working knowledge of French, Arabic, or Mandarin (considered an added advantage).

    Note: Awaiting results will not be accepted, and only results obtained within the past five years will be considered.

     

    Training and Commission

    Successful candidates admitted into the NDA Regular Course will undergo five years of military and academic training, culminating in the award of an honors degree (BSc, BEng, or BA) in their chosen field. Graduates will also receive a Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria. The Federal Government will cover all training and administrative costs.
